WHAT IF THE SOUTH HAD WON?
If the South had won, there would still be slaves. In fact the South would not be part of the United States- so there would be slaves but not in the United States.
In fact the country would be totally different.
In the end, who knows what would have happened.
CHAPTER 8 ("UNDERSTANDING AUTISM THROUGH RAPID PROMPTING METHOD)
T: When you go into an environment what senses do you think you usually use and where is your focus?
C: I notice the lights. I see and hear them. I hear all the noise of the quiet. I see the people and hide. I need a corner. The corner keeps me safe. I need to do that before I talk with people.
If I know the environment well I don't have to go to the corner. I think I do it because I am nervous and it helps me feel hugged.
One day I felt nervous because the class was not under control of Lenae. It seemed no one was aware of me. I found out Lenae was suspended. In the end I only wanted to be in the corner to be safe.
T: When you hear all the noise are you able to pick out distinct sounds or does it all blend together?
C: It all blendeds together
T: What do you think you are when you enter an environment (vision/auditory-global, selective, or generalized)?
C: When I first enter I am in selective vision and auditory mode. I then switch to a global auditory and generalized vision. I see everything. I just want the corner.
