Understanding Autism Through Rapid Prompting Method Chapter 4 Cont. I think mostly behavior plans are mostly trash. They have no more help than little home interventions like going to bed on homemade carpet to cure autism. I think basic plans are fine. I get mad I can't have more understanding people. ABOUT HUGS I struggle with hugs because they are good but I can't breath. In the end keep giving hugs but don't expect one. THE THREE LITTLE PIGS- VERSION BY CINDI Once upon a time there was a little ledge. There still were three pigs on it. It had no glow different about it. The day the wolf came it still rained. The diligent pigs headed home from work. The pigs had nothing to cover themselves with so they prayed. God heard their prayers. They felt his love and were saved. JOURNAL I think my mom is making me sit in church. She is trying to make me behave and I hope it works. She is my wonderful mom. OPINION on ANNEXING HAWAII I think it is mean to annex someones country form them. It is wrong because people don't want it. UNDERSTANDING AUTISM THROUGH RAPID PROMPTING METHOD chapter 3 (beginning) What is equilibrium? Cindi: We react in an expected way. What is in your internal environment right now? Cindi: I am thinking. I get excited when I feel my heart beat. What is in your external environment right now? Cindi: I am hearing (little brother). I see the ipad. SPRING: I think Spring is fun. my family gets happy to have me in the yard playing. I stay in the yard well. (I love my family) The still breeze moves the leaves. The sun shines and leaves wrestle in the breeze. The sun is bright The world comes alive Happy birthday to me! I have good presents given to me. Mom is happy I like them. THOUGHTS AS WE READ CHAPTER ONE UNDERSTANDING AUTISM THROUGH RPM I think I color pretty well. I think that way of writing is good. I think i hated it when teachers took data. It made me feel like a failure. i think I feel that way a lot in church (end of chapter experience related by Tito) ON MEMORY I think I have a good memory. I think I have a pretty good memory. I think my memory is good. In the memory I have no problem linking things. I can remember in order. I think that is true for everyone (intense emotions bring more memory) Thoughts As We Read Chapter 1 Understanding Autism Through Rapid Prompting Method I think she saw intelligence going and that scared her so she went to professionals. I think she did a good job of keeping him busy. Interesting to have been taught at a young age. (Teacher: What do you think it would have been like or what would have happened if you were taught like tito at a young age? Cindi: I would have been surprised at where I would be now.) I have had people disbelieve me when I pointed to letters. I think it was clear she loved him. i think she taught him to write well. I need to be taught that way. ACT 3 SCENE 1 Solider: I want you to be careful Laura: I need a new dress George: We sure do Solider: I will take you to the market to buy some. Mom: That is so expensive. how come you are helping us? Solider: Because you are good. Mom: Yes, but a lot of people are good. Solider: I think I want to ehlp you because I see you doing a lot of good. Dad: God has sent us George: I think we have more to do than you think. Mom: I think I need your help with getting a stylish dress Solider: I think I can help you Daughter: Mom you don't need a stylish dress. We are missionaries kind of. Mom: you are right. Dad: Want a new toga Son: George and I do too Home Teachers: Us too! Solider: New clothes coming up George: I need something to eat. Mom: I need money to fee the family Solider: Greedy! Greedy! Mom: We are sorry. My son is helping us to get more food. Going to Rpm has been hard to do. Son: i think we can find our own food. my mom is not thinking straight. Solider: Well I can help, but not that much. George: Thanks for your kindness. Laura: I think you too. Solider: Let's get you clothes. Home teachers: "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there." Solider: Who is that? Son: It is an advertisement. Mom: An advertisement is how we sale things here. Dad: What is your problem? Home Teachers: I just think the solider is a good neighbor. Son: We have T.V. Solider: What is that? Son: It is fun. it is a box with pictures that move and talk. Solider: What in the world! 'round the corner are dresses and togas. Mom: thanks like so much! George: how are you going to pay for this? Solider: No idea- I think we will steal Laura: No we can't . How can we when we are missionaries? Mom: true we can't. I think it is wrong anyway. Daughter: I agree. Dad: Let's stone him! Mom: That is awful! Dad: I am joking. Son: not my home teacher's kind of joke. Mom: Hope you make the right decision. Narrator: So they fought but the solider lived. SCIENCE FICTION: Once upon a time there lived a man. He liked a beautiful girl. They lived in the woods of Great Britain. The man and girl were married in the temple. They had children. The children had no more to do than you or me. One day the boy discovered a light bulb in the ground. He started to play with it. He bit it open and his face lite up. He turned into a light bulb and that was that. JOURNAL
I feel so sad. I remember my days in school when i was doing ABA. The teacher would yell at me if I missed the response. I think it happened a few times, but it feels like it happened a lot. Autism Book
In the world of Autism we are misunderstood often. I might mostly make mistakes, but I am smart. I sometimes do crazy things in front of others. I want to stop but I can't. I have to keep going until it is finished. i try to stop but i can't. i want to be nice to others but it is hard. I think my teacher understands but she pushes me to the limit. She is nice but so pushy to keep me working- I might explode. In the end I think we will need to work on this. Goals and dreams (what Cindi said was realistic and unrealistic) Realistic: I want to be a writer I want to play the piano I want to be baptized. I want to be happy. I want to be endowed. I want to be good at the ipad. I want my name known for good. I wan tot read the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I want to be a composer. I want you (lenae) to help me forever. I want little kids to love me in church. I want to have a song published in the hymn book. I want to make my mom proud. I want to have a party at my house when I am in charge. I want to go to a university. I want to have really good time sitting for a long time. I want more to do all day. I want my grandma to communicate with me with RPM. I want my family to communicate with me. I want to have more friends. I want to complete personal progress (youth program for girls in LDS church). I want to be an advocate like Ido. Unrealistic: I want to buy a home. I want to have a marriage. I want to have a baby. I want to be married to (friend's name). I want to have served a mission in another country. I want to have cookies in my house when I get one. I want to live in Spain Both: I want to make movies about Christ. Play Continued Act 2 Scene 2 Mom: I hope I can go fishing, but I don't need to. Dad: Yes we do. we need to have food. Daughter: The difference is we grow food but not in home. George: My wife is getting sick. she can't breath. Laura: I hope my mom is ok. She has been feeling poorly- that is why I feel sick. Mom: I am sorry to hear this. Dad: My dad is also sick George: Mine too. Laura: This is the worst day. I hate it! Son: everyone calm down. I think we are ok. Daughter: Help me get some fish. Dad: I would love to. Solider: Who are you guys? I am my own leader. Mom: what in the world! Who is the leader of Rome? Solider: I think my leader is Julius Caesar. Hannibal: I need to kill the Romans! Dad: Why? Mom: That is crazy! How come? Hannibal: I promised my dad Solider: Seriously! This is crazy! Laura: I feel bad. I might need a new dress George: Might die first Son: I might be mad at you for taking me here. Narrator: They went into the solider's home. |
